Creating an Encrypted Email

  • The first step would be to create the email you want to send



  • Once you’ve filled out the information needed, you can click “Options” at the top of the screen 



  • Then you can click on the encrypt dropdown and select “Encrypt” 



  •  Once done it will display a message letting you know the message is encrypted and you can then send it normally. 



Opening an Encrypted Email


• When sending attachments to people outside the organization there are certain things the users will have to look out for


• Unlike sending emails within the company, emails to outside users come encrypted (as seen below)



• Clicking on the attachment on the bottom, won’t display or download anything.



• The first step is to have them click the blue “Read the message" button which then brings them to a separate screen.


• On that screen they have the option to sign in to their account or use a one time code



Note: The one-time code is the preferred method, which then sends another email to them to get into it.


• Once they’ve received the code and typed it in, they should be able to view the attachment normally
