Browser Setup Guide: Microsoft Edge & Google Chrome

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots (…) menu in the top-right.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. In the left panel, choose Privacy, search, and services.

  5. Scroll down to Services → click Address bar and search.

  6. Click Manage search engines.

  7. Find Google in the list:

    • Click the three dots next to it → Make default.

  8. For Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo:

    • Click the three dotsRemove.
      (If Remove is greyed out, set another engine as default first, then you’ll be able to delete them.)

✅ Now Google will be the only search engine used in the address bar.


? Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the three dots (…) menu in the top-right.

  3. Select Settings.

  4. In the left panel, choose Search engine.

  5. Next to Search engine used in the address bar, select Google.

  6. Click Manage search engines and site search.

  7. Under Search engines, look for Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo:

    • Click the three dots next to each → Delete.

  8. Make sure Google is set as Default.

✅ Now your Chrome address bar will only search with Google.
